Child allowance is a system, which provides allowance to guardians of children under the age of 12 (provided three times per year in June, October, and February). When applied, an allowance will be provided starting with the following month's portion. However, there will be an income review.
- Children under 3 years old
- Uniformly 10,000 yen (per month)
- Children at or above 3 years old
- First child: 5,000 yen (per month)
Second child: 5,000 yen (per month)
Third child and onward: 10,000 yen (per month)

Child Health-Care Subsidy System
It is a system, which subsidizes part of your child's medical expenses. Children under the age of 12 are eligible. To receive the subsidy, submission of an application to the City Hall required.

Health-Care Subsidy System for Single Parent Households
When the mother (father) and children (under 18) of a single parent household and children without parents visit a hospital or hospitalized, this system will subsidize the portion of medical expenses that person had paid, which are subject to an insurance benefit. However, only the households exempt from income tax are eligible for this system.
Child Support Allowance
An allowance is provided to mothers of children in single-mother households or with severely impaired fathers, or to the person nourishing the children in place of their mothers.
However, there is an income limitation. The allowance is provided to the caretaker of children under the age of 18 and those that are not receiving a public pension.
